The petitioner alleges that the arsenic-free water line connection, which the petitioner was enjoying, stood disconnected by the second respondent for the purpose of laying new pipeline connection. The connection of the petitioner has not yet been restored. The petitioner is without waterline connection for more than a year.

A representation has been filed by the petitioner before the Executive Engineer of Public Health Engineering Department, Government of West Bengal (Annexure P3, p.13) which is pending consideration since April 2024.

Without entering into the merits of the representation filed by the petitioner before the Executive Engineer of Public Health Engineering Department, Government of West Bengal, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Executive Engineer to consider the petitioner's representation in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner for production of all records in support of his claim. A reasoned order shall be passed by the aforesaid authority and communicated to the petitioner. Steps shall be taken in the matter at the earliest, but within eight weeks from the date

of communication of this order.
