The petitioner stands implicated in the incident of assault where the victim suffered gunshot injury. Such implication appears from the statement recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the injured.

Other co-accused were granted anticipatory bail lastly on March 29, 2019.

Considering the gravity of the offence, involvement of the petitioner in the incident and considering the long absconsion

of the petitioner, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

CRM (A) 1807 of 2023 is rejected.
