The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher of Pratibandhi Punarbasan Kendra, Kharagpur, District- Paschim Medinipur.

The petitioner is claiming that he is entitled to incremental benefits upon acquiring D.Ed.S.E(Mentally Retarded) Training Course from a recognized University.

It appears from the record that the Teacherin-Charge of the Kendra has already forwarded the claim of the petitioner along with the similar claim of two similarly placed teachers of the Kendra to the Director of Mass Education Extension, Government of West Bengal, the respondent no. 3 herein, pursuant to which incremental benefits have been given to the said two teachers but the petitioner is yet to receive such benefits.

Ms. Tapati Samanta, learned advocate for the State submits that the proposal for payment of the said benefits to the petitioner has been sent to the Finance Department, Government of West Bengal for concurrence and upon such concurrence, the same would be paid to the petitioner very soon. The concerned authorities are directed to release the incremental benefits to the petitioner within six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

W.P.A. 10112 of 2023 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
