The Special Secretary to the Government of West Bengal, Department of Panchayat and Rural Development shall treat the writ petition as a representation and dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order. By the reasoned order, the petitioner will be informed as to whether the recommendation made by the Additional Director of Panchayat and Rural Development, West Bengal for appointment of the petitioner had come within the zone of consideration as per his serial no.1094. The authority shall indicate the serial number of the last appointed candidate. The decision shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from date of communication of this order.

Needless to mention, steps shall be taken for grant of appointment, if the petitioner satisfies all other eligibility criteria by maintaining the seriality.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. However there will be no order as to costs.

All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
