Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that he submitted an information through mail on or about 19.12.2020 in respect of the incidents particularly which he apprehends was a murder but was shown to have been suicide.

Grievance of the petitioner is that in spite of the police authorities being informed, no steps have been taken by the police authorities.

Report has been submitted by the State. It has been categorically contended in the report by the Officer-in-charge, Kotulpur Police Station in paragraph 5 that, after thorough search of the records, no written complaint was found which has been received by the police station either by way of

mail or any other media through which any accusations were received from the petitioner for which the police authorities would have taken specific steps.

In view of the police authorities stating in their report that they have not received any information, although the petitioner states that such information was sent through mail, I direct the petitioner to file the same information with the Officer-in-charge, Kotulpur Police Station who would receive and acknowledge the same, apply his mind and thereafter within a week from receipt of the complaint inform his decision regarding the steps taken, so that it would be convenient for the petitioner to take subsequent steps.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 10145 of 2023 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

Copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
