This is an application for bail.

The petitioner claims to have been falsely implicated in a criminal case for transportation of contraband above commercial quantity of phensedyl, which was recovered from him. According to the petitioner, the trial is fixed on 22.06.2022, 23.06.2022 and 24.06.2022. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

Considering the gravity of offence, petitioner's prima facie involvement and the fact that there is no subsequent change in circumstances in filing the present bail application after the previous application having been rejected on 18th November, 2021, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

The application for bail is, thus, rejected.
