Lohia Jute Press Pvt Ltd v. State Of West Bengal And ORS.
Bpg & Sg..
Sl.No7 May 30, MAT No.836 of 2022 With IA CAN 1 of 2022 Lohia Jute Press Private Limited
Versus
State of West Bengal and others Ms. Sweta Mukherjeer, Ms. Pavel Das.
...for the appellant.
Mr. Anirban Ray, Mr. Soumitra Mukherjee, Mr. Nilotpal Chatterjee.
...for the State.
Upon hearing learned counsel for all the parties, we do not find any patent perversity and/or illegality or irregularity in the exercise of jurisdiction by the learned single Judge in passing the impugned order dated May 23, 2022.
However, learned counsel for the appellant seeks a direction on the revisional authority to take up for hearing and decide the petitioner's application for stay, filed before the said authority, expeditiously. Accordingly, we are not inclined to interfere with the order.
MAT 836 of 2022 along with CAN 1 of 2022 are, thus, disposed of by directing the revisional forum to decide the interlocutory application filed by the appellant in connection with Revision (VAT) Case-4206 of 12-13 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within June 13, 2022.
