1. Heard learned lawyers for the parties.

2. We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses implicate the petitioner in the offence of murder. Offence, if proved, would attract mandatory life imprisonment. Bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected earlier on merits.

3. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

4. Accordingly, prayer for bail is rejected.

5. Trial court is requested to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date.
