It appears from the said report that by a letter dated 14.12.2023 the Chief Engineer Housing Directorate has been directed to consider the issue of the petitioner's qualification and expedite the appointment process in accordance with law. In such circumstances, nothing survives in this writ petition. W.P.A. 10157 of 2023 stands disposed of by directing the State respondents to act in terms of the letter dated 14.12.2023 strictly in accordance with law.

It is made clear that there is no adjudication on the merits of this case.
