Petitioner prays for anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner and the de facto complainant are relatives. The petitioner was falsely implicated.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State refers to the statements recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the victim as well as a statement of the eye-witness recorded under Section 161 thereof.

Victim and the eye-witness implicate the petitioner in the attempt to rape.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner in the incident, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. (A) 1811 of 2023 is dismissed.
