The petitioners submit that they are serving in the Municipality for long but all on a sudden on April, 2022 their service has been stopped without disclosing any reason.
Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the Municipality does not have any instruction in the matter.
As the matter is pending before the Director of Local Bodies, accordingly, let a decision be taken by the Director of Local Bodies in the matter at the earliest. Prior to any decision being taken by the Director of
Local Bodies, the Municipality is restrained from taking any coercive steps with regard to the service of the petitioners.
The Chairman of the Municipality shall ensure that the petitioners are paid their dues for the period they rendered service. Till a formal decision is taken by the Municipality and communicated to the petitioners for stopping their service for any reason whatsoever, the Municipality shall permit the petitioners to perform their duties in the Municipality.
The present writ petition has been filed by two petitioners by depositing only one Court fees. Learned advocate for the petitioners is directed to deposit the deficit Court fees in respect of one writ petitioner, failing which the order passed hereinabove shall be restricted only in respect of the petitioner no.1 and the writ petition shall be deemed to have been dismissed in respect of the other.
The writ petition stands disposed of.
Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on completion of usual formalities.
