1. By this public interest litigation the petitioner prays for a direction upon the respondents to recognize the existence of the village of Bhawkol. According to the writ petitioner, the said village has lost its identity though it has got a very great history and the people of the village are peace loving. It is stated that all government projects are being sanctioned in the name of the neighbouring village, namely, Panna, but are implemented in Bhawkol village and, as a result of which, funds are not sanctioned by the government for any project specifically for Bhawkol village. In this regard, representation has been sent to all the authorities on 20th March, 2023 and proof of delivery of the said representation has been annexed along with the writ petition.

2. The District Magistrate, South 24-Parganas, namely, the 5th respondent is directed to consider the representation dated 23.03.2023 and examine the same for its correctness and take action in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a server copy of this order along with the copy of the representation which shall be forwarded by the writ petitioner.

3. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of.
