Mondal ..... petitioner Mr. Kallol Mondal Mr. Amanul Islam Mr. Kishan Roy Mr. Sourav Mukherjee Mr. Souvik Das ... for the petitioner Mr. Binoy Panda Mr. Aniket Mitra ... for the State Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that victim suffered accidental injuries and died. Learned Counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

We have considered the materials on record including statements of the witnesses which disclose indiscriminate assault on the victim and others by the petitioner and other accused persons. Large number of injuries are noted in the postmortem report. There is no indication in the postmortem report that the injuries are accidental in nature. In view of gravity of the offence and involvement of the petitioner therein, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
