Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered materials on record including the statements of witnesses recorded under section 161/164 Cr.P.C which prima facie disclose specific overt acts of assault by the petitioners upon the victim who succumbed to his injuries. In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials and bearing in mind the gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners at this stage.
