Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner draws the attention of the Court to the number of revisional applications preferred at the instance of the accused/opposite party no.2 and the manner in which a complaint case of 2019 under the relevant provisions of the Negotiable Instruments Act is being dragged.

I find from the records of the case that Criminal Motion No. 131 of 2024 was fixed on 27.03.2024 before the learned Sessions Judge (I/C), Alipore. The learned court was pleased to fix 17.05.2024 as the next date for LCR and SR of notice. Having considered the issue so involved and the manner in which the proceedings are being dragged, I direct the learned Sessions Judge to dispose of the revisional application within a fortnight from 17.05.2024.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 1630 of 2024 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
