(Special Case No. 148 of 2019) and In the matter of: Anisur Rahaman ......Petitioners Mr. Souvik Mitter, Advocate Mr. Tapan Maity, Advocate ......for the Petitioners Mr. Ranabir Roy Chowdhury, Advocate Mr. Rudradipta Nandy, Advocate ......for the State The petitioner has filed the instant application for bail in connection with Digha Mohona Coastal Police Station Case No. 10 of 2019 dated 09.04.2019 under Sections 366A/368/ 370/370A/372/373/120B/34 of the Indian Penal Code along with 3/4/5/7/9 of the Immoral Trafficking Act and 4/8/17/21 of the POCSO Act.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he being a customer, penal provisions as stated above, are not attracted against him.

The learned Public Prosecutor-in-charge has raised serious objection against the prayer for bail. Considering the nature and gravity of the offence and the role of the petitioner, we are not inclined to release him on bail.

Accordingly, prayer for bail is rejected.

The application being CRM 4364 of 2021 is accordingly dismissed.

However, the learned trial Judge is requested to expedite the trial of the case and to come to a logical conclusion at the earliest.
