We had recorded in our order dated November 28, 2024 that the representations of the Members of the petitioner Union have been disposed of by the alleged contemnors. The reasoned order has been despatched to the petitioners.

Today, learned Advocate for the petitioners, on instructions, says that the petitioners shall file their individual claims as directed in the reasoned order dated November 26, 2024, passed by the Additional Chief Secretary, Cooperation Department, Government of West Bengal and the same should be disposed of by the Bank within the time period indicated in the order of the Additional Chief Secretary.

In view of the aforesaid, no useful purpose will be served by keeping this contempt petition pending.

Accordingly, CPAN 718 of 2024 is disposed of. 5.

Needless to say that if the petitioners are aggrieved by further orders passed by the Bank, it will be open to them to challenge the same before the appropriate forum, in accordance with law.

All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court.
