It is submitted that the victim housewife committed suicide.

Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered materials on record. Petitioner-husband had threatened the victim and brought her to the matrimonial home three days prior to the incident. Thereafter, she committed suicide.

In view of the materials on record connecting the petitionerhusband with the commission of suicide of his wife, we are of the opinion he does not stand on the same footing with co-accuseds who have been enlarged on bail and in view of the gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
