Ms. Priyanka Sarkar Mr. Aditya R. Tiwary Mr. S. Khan ....for the petitioner Ms. Subhashree Patel Ms. Debamita Das ..for the State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. It is alleged that on 01.03.2024, the petitioner received a call from an individual asking him to give his property for installation of an ATM machine. For such purpose, other calls were made and more than a sum of Rs. 2 lakhs were taken from him. The petitioner has no connection with the alleged crime. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the case diary and opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. She submits that there is a criminal antecedent of the petitioner. That apart, call records details show that he was in touch with the other co-accused. He had also purportedly made a call to the victim.

Considering the nature of allegations and the alleged role ascribed to the present petitioner, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail to the petitioner is rejected.
