Mr. Joydeep Roy Ms. Sujata Das ...... for the State Petitioner is the husband of the victim lady. It is contended that she suffered death due to accidental electrocution. Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.
We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses show that the victim died due to electrocution after 14 years after marriage. Keeping in mind the facts and circumstances of the case, we are inclined in granting anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs. 10,000/- with two sureties of like amount each, to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer and also subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.
Petitioner shall appear before the court below and pray for regular bail within four weeks from date.
The application being CRM (A) No. 2480 of 2022 is disposed of.
