The grievance of the petitioner is directed against non-supply of an electricity connection at the subject premises.

It is submitted on behalf of the CESC Ltd.

that they are ready and willing to provide such connection subject to all formalities and compliances.

It is also submitted on behalf of CESC Ltd.

that the existing meter is in the name of the husband of the petitioner, being the respondent no. 6 and has been disconnected for more than six months because of non-payment of bill.

Admittedly, there are matrimonial disputes by and between the petitioner and the private respondent no. 6.

In view of the Report filed by the CESC Ltd., WPA 10765 of 2026 stands allowed by directing the CESC Ltd. to provide an electricity

connection to the subject premises after removal of the existing meter and after compliance with all statutory formalities and payment of necessary fees.

Liberty is granted to the CESC Ltd. to take police assistance, if necessary, at the cost of the petitioner.

Liberty is also granted to the CESC Ltd. to break open the padlock and remove the existing meter, if so necessary.
