BIBEK CHAUDHURI, J. : - 1.

This is an application for a direction upon the trial court to dispose of Sessions Trial No.3 of 2021 arising out of Session Case No.100 of 2020 pending before the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge at Baruipur expeditiously.

It is submitted by Mr. Koustav Bagchi, learned Advocate for the petitioner that the Investigating Officer submitted charge-sheet against the accused/petitioner on 10th April, 2019. On the basis of the chargesheet and other materials on record, trial court framed charged against

the petitioner on 2nd December, 2021 under Sections 342/327 /370(4)/34 of the IPC read with Sections 75/79 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and Section 14 of the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986. The date of trial was fixed on 11th January, 2022. There are 10 charge-sheeted witnesses but till date not a single witness were examined.

The instant revision is disposed of directing the learned trial judge to take effective step for conclusion of trial within 8 months from the date of communication of the server copy of the order. 4.

The learned trial court is also directed to act upon the server copy of this order.
