The petitioner is the husband of the victim lady. The petitioner says that he has been framed. He did not cause the death of his wife.

The State draws our attention to statements of witnesses recorded under Section 161 of the Code. At least some of the witnesses clearly implicated the petitioner. We have also considered the post mortem report.

On an overall assessment of the material on record and the extent of possible complicity of the petitioner in the alleged offence, although he may be in custody for about 1 year 2 months and charge sheet may have been filed, we are of the view that the petitioner's prayer for bail cannot be allowed at this stage.

Accordingly, the application for bail being CRM 4468 of 2021 is dismissed.
