...... for the petitioner Mr. Swapan Banerjee Mr. Suman De ...... for the State Petitioner renews his prayer for bail. He submits there is little progress in the matter since rejection of bail by this court. Learned senior Government advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Allegations against the petitioner are very grave. He had impersonated himself as a standing counsel of the Government of West Bengal and special counsel of Central Bureau of Investigation. On such misrepresenting he duped members of the public. We are informed co accused is absconding.

In view of gravity of the offence and as delay in the matter cannot be attributed to the prosecution, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
