The petitioner is directed to serve a copy of this revisional application upon Ms. Amita Gaur, Learned Advocate, who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. Her appearance may be regularized by the concerned authority. The petitioner is aggrieved by the factum of the delay in the process of trial. Learned Advocate submits that the case was initiated in the year 2013. Charge was framed in the year 2016 and till date, none of the witnesses have been examined by the learned Trial Court.

I have perused the order sheets and I find that none of the witnesses were present although prosecution has relied upon six witnesses to prove its case.

Having regard to the nature of the allegations and the submission of the present petitioner, I direct that the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Baguiati Police Station will act as Nodal Officer of this case and would ensure production of

the witnesses before the learned Trial Court on the dates so fixed. The learned Trial Court henceforth from the next date would fix at least one date in every two months so that the trial of the case is concluded by August 31, 2024.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR No.1565 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of.
