The petitioners allege that the respondent nos.8 and 9 have been continuously threatening and torturing the petitioner no.2. The petitioner no.2 is the mother of the respondent no.8 and mother-in-law of the respondent no.9. The petitioner no.1 is the sister of the respondent no.8. From the annexure to the writ petition, it does not appear that the petitioners have approached the concerned police station, by filing an appropriate complaint. Under such circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of without any orders. However, as the petitioner no.2 is a senior citizen, the Officer-in-Charge, Regent Park Police Station shall ensure that the petitioner no.2 (mother) is neither disturbed nor tortured by the respondent nos.8 and 9. It is already a matter of record that the police authorities, apprehending threat had submitted a prosecution under Section 107 of the Code of Criminal Procedure against the respondent nos.8 and 9. Thus, it is

mandatory, that the police authorities keep a vigil in order to ensure safety of the petitioner no.2.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. However, there will be no order as to costs.

All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
