The writ petitioner is aggrieved by the bill of Rs.50,260/- raised in respect of his meter for the month of March, 2021.

It is submitted that for the previous month i.e. February, 2021 against the consumption of 66 units, the bill raised was Rs.510/-.

Counsel for the CESC submits that there are outstanding dues in respect of another meter that was run by the petitioner and dues of such meter have been raised in accordance with the applicable Rules against this connection of the writ petitioner. Be that as it may, the petitioner has raised a dispute with Grievance Redressal Officer, CESC on 3rd May, 2021.

It is ordered that the said Grievance Redressal Officer. CESC Limited, South West Regional Office shall dispose of the petitioner's grievance within a

period of 15 days from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

Until disposal of the said grievance, however, CESC shall not disconnect the electricity connection of the petitioner.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order on usual undertakings.
