Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that there is an admitted delay on the part of the alleged contemnor to comply with the order passed by this Court on 21st November, 2022. Counsel submits that contrary to the direction given on the Department to dispose of the application for mutation within eight weeks from the date of communication of the order, which should have been within 23rd January, 2023, the petitioner received the order only on 4th July, 2023. Counsel, however, submits that since the petitioner has already received the order, the contempt proceeding may be disposed of.

CPAN 608 of 2023 is accordingly disposed of in terms of the above.
