Having heard Counsels for the petitioner, State and the private respondents, this Court has considered the detailed report submitted by the Officer-in-charge, Mogra Police Station dated 6th July, 2021.

It appears that the proceedings for anticipatory bail are pending before this Court at the instance of the private respondents in C.R.M. No. 5073 of 2020. The writ petitioner has intervened in such proceeding seeking modification of bail conditions or cancellation thereof.

Mr. Amitesh Banerjee, learned Senior Standing Counsel for the State submits that there are complaints being filed by and against the petitioner on a regular basis. He further submits that a charge-

sheet has been filed in a number of cases by the police after completing investigation.

In so far as current complaint, which is the subject matter of the instant petition, being F.I.R. No.136 dated 24th May, 2020 is concerned, the Officerin-charge, Mogra Police Station may complete the investigation as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two months from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

The report dated 6th July, 2021 in the form of instructions to the learned Government Pleader, is taken on record.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order on usual undertakings.
