The petitioners challenge their assignments as Presiding Officers for the ongoing Lok Sabha General Election, 2024. This issue has been addressed by this Court in WPA 11567 of 2024 (Kaushik BandopadhyayVersus- The Election Commission of India) where this Court has decided to interfere with the engagement of the Assistant Professors as Presiding Officers. Accordingly, WPA 11197 of 2024 is dismissed.

Needless to mention that if the petitioners join their election duties, the show cause notice issued against them shall not be proceeded any further.
