Mr. B. P. Vaisya, Mr. Arindam Chatterjee ... for the State The writ petitioner is aggrieved by an order dated 12.04.2022 under which, his appointment as President of a Managing Committee of Kankinara Himayatul Ghurba High School has been recalled.

This Court is of the view that the power of the State to appoint a committee also includes the power of recalling any member thereof.

Admittedly, the post is honorary and does not carry any remuneration. There appears to be absolutely no stigma whatsoever attached to the recall of the writ petitioner as President of the said Managing Committee of the said school.

In that view of the matter, no relief can be granted to the writ petitioner.

The writ petition is dismissed.

There will be no order as to costs.
