C.R.M. (M) 368 of 2025 In Re : An Application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure read with Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 in connection with Bhimpur Police Station Case No. 17 of 2025 dated 11.01.2025. And In Re :
Arup Roy ... Petitioner.
Mr. Prabir Majumder Mr. Snehansu Majumder Ms. Sangeeta Chakraborty ... for the Petitioner Mr. Arijit Banerjee Mr. Shashanka Shekhar Saha ... For the State The petitioner is in custody for about 107 days and prays for bail. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is not named in the FIR and he has no nexus with the alleged offence. The co-accused have been granted bail.
Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. I have perused the material on record. The victim lady has implicated the petitioner in the alleged offence. Considering the material as allegedly connecting the petitioner to the alleged offence, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.
The application is disposed of.
Case Diary is returned.
