Learned senior advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was falsely implicated. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the police complaint was lodged on the basis of a writing received from the office of His Excellency, the Governor. Investigations were conducted whereupon, the involvement of the petitioner transpires. He submits that since the investigations are ongoing at this stage, it is necessary to interrogate the petitioner in custody. Considering the materials in the case diary, the gravity of the offence and the complicity of the petitioner therein, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

CRM 4493 of 2021is, accordingly, dismissed.
