The Assistant Secretary, the Joint Secretary, the Secretary and the Additional Chief Secretary to the Finance Department has filed a report before this Court signed on September 26, 2022 mentioning that the department does not have any objection to the proposal for filling up of the four posts under Chakdaha Municipality by candidates already selected by the recruitment examination conducted by the Municipality, in relaxation of the austerity measures in force vide No. 2391-F(Y) dated June 10, 2022, 30-F(Y) dated January 4, 2022 read with No. 1971-F(Y) dated June 30, 2021, provided Administration Department is satisfied that all

necessary formalities for recruitment have been fulfilled in the instant case.

In view of the aforesaid decision, the Director of Local Bodies is directed to proceed with filling up of the four posts by approving the panel which has been prepared after conducting the recruitment examination by the Chakdaha Municipality at the earliest, but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

Letters of appointment shall be issued by the Municipality immediately after the panel is approved by the Director of Local Bodies.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
