It is submitted that the applicant has been reinstated and the arrear salary has been paid to the tune of Rs. 41,02,333/-.

With regard to the extension of time for completing the disciplinary proceeding, an order has already been passed by the Hon'ble Apex Court.

This contempt application was limited to the extent of the petitioner not being reinstated and to be treated as 'on duty' from the date of termination to the date of the order of the court. This court had left it to the respondents to decide whether they would want to continue the petitioner in service thereafter, or suspend the petitioner. As the respondent had terminated the petitioner with retrospective effect, this court was of the view that the order passed in the writ petition had not been complied with.

Now, the order has been complied with. Any other grievance of the petitioner with regard to the quantum paid will be adjudicated by a different forum and not in this contempt application. The petitioner is at liberty to approach such forum.

Accordingly, the contempt application is disposed of upon holding compliance of the order.

Contempt proceedings are dropped.

The interim order which was passed on the earlier occasion, attaching the salary of the Managing Director (Additional Charge) stands vacated.
