1. The petitioner is serving as an Executive Engineer of the General Reserve Engineer Force.

2. Challenging the order of removal from service passed on 2nd January, 2024, the petitioner filed an appeal before the appellate authority. The same is alleged to be kept pending.

3. As it appears that the appeal preferred by the petitioner is pending consideration for a considerable period of time, accordingly, no useful purpose will be served by keeping the writ petition pending.

4. The instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the appellate authority being the Director General of Border Roads to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal filed on 13th February, 2024 strictly in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

5. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

6. The writ petition stands disposed of.

7. Parties to act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
