Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits he is in custody for about three year and eight months. Learned Counsel appearing for the State opposes prayer for bail. He submits that trial is at a matured stage. We have considered the materials on record. Statements of the witnesses prima facie disclose involvement of the petitioner in a grave crime.

In view of the aforesaid facts, we are of the view that this is not a fit case to grant bail to the petitioner. The application for bail is, thus, rejected. Trial court is requested to conclude the trial at the earliest without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
