The petitioners allege that respondent nos. 4 and 5 are undertaking unauthorized construction on plot no. C.S. 1094/1721, corresponding to L.R. 1311, at Mouza-Maheshtala, J.L. No. 5, Maheshtala, South 24 Parganas.

The petitioners further grieve that, despite submitting a representation to the Maheshtala Municipality, no action has been taken.

I find no justification to keep the present writ petition pending. Accordingly, I dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the Maheshtala Municipality to consider the representation dated February 16, 2024, and take appropriate action in accordance with the law, after providing due notice to all concerned parties.

This exercise shall be completed within two months from the date of communication of this order.

With the above directions and observations, the instant writ petition, WPA No. 11268 of 2024, is disposed of.
