1. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioners are the mother-in-law, the married sister-in-law and the father-in-law of the victim deceased. The marriage between the couple took place three years ago. The victim committed suicide by hanging. The prime accused/husband is in custody.
2. Learned counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits as follows. A prima facie case is made out against the petitioners. As per the statements of a neighbour, all the accused used to torture the victim for dowry. On the fateful day, the victim's child had a quarrel with the child of her brotherin-law. This led to a ruckus and she was assaulted by her husband.
3. Considering the materials available in the case diary and the alleged role ascribed to the present petitioners, I do not think that custodial interrogation of the petitioners is required in this case.
4. In the event of arrest, the petitioners shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- each with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer and also be subject to further conditions that the petitioners shall cooperate with the investigation and shall not threaten or intimidate witnesses.
5. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is allowed.
6. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with requisite formalities.
