The writ petition is heard in presence of the learned advocate representing the petitioner. Since the State respondents are not represented today and Mr. Bhaskar Prasad Vaisya, learned Additional Government Pleader, is present in Court, this Court requests Mr.

Vaisya to represent the State respondents. Let engagement of Mr. Vaisya to represent the State respondents be regularized.

The petitioner being an Assistant Teacher in a Government aided High School has prayed for payment of medical allowance and the salary for the month of March, 2017 which remain unpaid and in this regard a representation was

made by the school authority of Ghughudanga Bharati Vidyamandir, District North Parganas to the District Inspector of Schools (SE), Barrackpore, North 24 Parganas which is at page 20 of the writ petition.

Mr.

Vaisya, learned Additional Government Pleader submits that if necessary direction is given upon the concerned District Inspector of Schools (SE), Barrackpore, the issue will be considered in accordance with law.

Having considered the submissions made on behalf of the parties, the writ petition stands disposed of by directing the District Inspector of Schools (SE), Barrackpore being the respondent no. 3 to take a decision on the claim of the petitioner which was forwarded by the aforesaid school authority, as it appears from page 20 of the writ petition, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order after granting opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the school authority or their representative. The reasoned decision to be taken by the respondent no. 3 shall be communicated to the parties within one week thereafter.

There shall be, however, no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
