The petitioner submits that he was enlarged on bail by a Coordinate Bench of this Court by an order dated July 8, 2008 passed in CRM No.6683 of 2008. The petitioner continued to appear before the learned Trial Court till 2013 and after that he absconded. He was brought under arrest on the strength of a warrant of arrest on 11.2.2021 and he is in custody since then. Having considered the conduct of the petitioner all throughout, we are inclined to hold that he may again abscond, if granted bail at this stage.

It is noted that trial was protracted only due to abscondance of the petitioner. In such view of the matter, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, at this stage. C.R.M. No.4519 of 2021 is, accordingly, dismissed. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Suvra Ghosh, J.) (Arijit Banerjee, J.)
