2. Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

3. The unserved writ petition addressed to the Principal Secretary, Finance Department, Union of India is returned to the learned advocate by retaining the postal envelope.

4. The petitioner claims to be the widow of a loanee who obtained loan from the Canara Bank on 6th November, 2020 and expired on 14th May, 2024. The petitioner prays for settlement of the loan account.

5. In absence of the bank, it is not possible for the Court to decide the issue conclusively.

6. As it appears that a representation is pending consideration at the end of the bank, the instant writ petition is disposed of by the directing the Branch Manager, Canara Bank, Chaltia Branch being respondent no. 5 herein to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation in accordance with the banking rules at the earliest but positively within a

period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

7. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

8. The writ petition stands disposed of.

9. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
