The petitioner is the Upa-Pradhan of Juranpur Gram Panchayat. It was alleged in the writ petition that the requisition notice calling for a meeting for his removal was not served upon her.

On July 19, 2021 a report was filed by the prescribed authority showing that the notice was served by registered post. As the petitioner had refused personal service, the notice was hung at a conspicuous space at her door. A copy of the report was also directed to be served upon the learned advocate on record of the petitioner.

The Court had recorded a prima facie opinion that the petitioner had tried to stall a democratic process initiated by the requisitionists.

On the prayer of the learned advocate for the petitioner the matter was adjourned on July 19, 2021 and fixed on July 22, 2021. Today when the matter is called on, none appears on behalf of the petitioner. No accommodation

has been prayed for. It appears that the petitioner is no longer interested in the matter.

Let the matter be dismissed for default.
