The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher of subject Bengali at Maheshpur High School, District : Purba Medinipur. She applied for general transfer through Utsashree Portal on medical ground but her such prayer was objected by the School Authority, the respondent nos.5 and 6 herein on the ground that she is the only female teacher of the said Higher Secondary Co-education School.

The student strength of the said school is 964 and the school has only 12 teachers.

The prayer of the petitioner if allowed would certainly affect the learning process of the students.

The requirement of the students for the teacher outweighs the ground on which the petitioner is seeking transfer. This Court, therefore, is not inclined to entertain the said prayer of the petitioner.

WPA 9924 of 2022 is accordingly dismissed without any order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
