1. Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner has been implicated in the present case for alleged recovery of 816 grams of brown sugar. Petitioner is in custody for about a year and till date charges have not been framed.

2. In view of the subject matter of the case I am of the opinion that the rigours of Section 37 of the NDPS Act is attracted. As such the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

3. Learned Special Court is directed to overcome the stage of consideration charge on the next date or within a week from the date so fixed. Steps be taken for expediting the process of trial.

4. Accordingly, CRM (NDPS) 976 of 2026 is dismissed at this stage.

5. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the Official website of this Court.

6. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
