The grievance of the petitioner is directed against inaction of the CESC Limited in providing an electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner. It is submitted on behalf of the CESC Limited that the electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner was disconnected due to nonpayment of outstanding arrears.

In view of the submissions made on behalf of the parties, WPA 10945 of 2026 stands allowed in view of the unequivocal assurance by the petitioner that she would pay all outstanding charges including any other dues in respect of the premises and all other statutory charges insofar as a new meter connection is concerned. Any obligation of the CESC Limited to provide a new connection to the petitioner shall only arise after payment of all outstanding arrears in respect of the subject premises.
