Chatterjee, Mrs. Tuli Sinha ..for the State The allegation in the present petition is that the Panchayat authority was disbursing the funds in their favourable Wards without following the principle of distribution of funds on the basis of population. Learned counsel for the State as also for the petitioner have pointed out on filing this petition the BDO had stopped the distribution of fund in the alleged manner and is now distributing the funds of the concerned Panchayat on the basis of the population ratio.

Having regard to the aforesaid, we are of the opinion that grievance of the petitioner stands redressed and no further direction in the present petition is required.

The petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
