And In the matter of : Rohit Ghosh ...... petitioner Ms. Khushi Mollick ....for the petitioner Mr. Jaydeep Biswas, Mr. Sachit Talukdar ....for the State Survivor recorded her statement under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code, where she attributes active role to the petitioner in the incident of rape that she suffered at the hands of different persons.

Considering the gravity of the offence and involvement of the petitioner in the incident, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

This application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. CRM(A) 1440 of 2024 is disposed of.
