Learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

We have considered the materials on record including documents seized in course of investigation which shows the petitioner was actively involved in the mismanagement of the affairs of the bank which led to wrongful loss to the tune of Rs.1.66 crores. Keeping in mind the gravity of the offence, we are of the opinion custodial interrogation of the petitioner is necessary for progress of investigation and recovery of misappropriated funds. Hence, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner stands rejected.
