Petitioner prays for fair and impartial investigation as series of cases has been registered against her and her son. In some of the cases, the investigating authorities associated with Taherpur Police Station has already registered case and after conclusion of investigation submitted charge-sheet. Other cases are still pending against the petitioner. Having regard to the series of cases which have been initiated against the petitioner, petitioner feels apprehensive regarding the local police station continuing with the investigation of the said cases. Learned advocate appearing for the State has submitted a report. Report reflects that Taherpur Police Station Case No.39 of 2025, Taherpur Police

Station Case No.116 of 2025, Taherpur Police Station Case No.588 of 2024 and Taherpur Police Station Case No.466 of 2024 have been registered for investigation. So far all these four cases are concerned, charge-sheet has been submitted by the investigating agency.

The grievance of the petitioner is in respect of information which was furnished to the Officer-inCharge, Taherpur Police Station on 01.02.2025. There is a medical document of the local health centre. Petitioner also complains that she was assaulted by the two persons who have been named in the information.

Since the petitioner is apprehensive regarding the act and action of Taherpur Police Station as no steps have been taken, the SDPO, Ranaghat Police District in-charge of Taherpur Police Station will conduct an enquiry and thereafter within a period of six weeks inform the outcome of the said enquiry to the petitioner. If required, petitioner be called by the concerned police authorities to substantiate by way of documents or other materials available with the petitioner as also the witnesses who may be aware regarding the incidents complained of which were referred to in the communication dated 01.02.2025.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 10428 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
